PET FRIENDLY HOTEL

Pets are more than welcome at the Best Western Lansdowne Hotel so you don't need to worry about the expense of kennels or missing your beloved pooch!

We have a dedicated lounge for you and your dog so you can feel that he/she is still part of your holiday, rather than just being cooped up in your bedroom. Owners are held responsible for any damage they may cause. The Charge is £12.00 per dog, per day (no food supplied).

Our location is perfect for dog walking, as we are directly opposite the seafront with a lovely walk up to Holywell for a cup of tea and cake, or for breathtaking views from Holywell up onto the top of Beachy Head. Other incredible long dog walking areas include Seven Sisters, Cuckmere, Pevensey Castle, Stanmer Park, Bluebell Walk and Abbots Wood. If you only require shorter walks for your Pooch there are many local parks like Princes Park and Hampden Park which are perfect.

So pick up the dog and bone and give us a bell on 01323 725174.

BEACH RESTRICTIONS

Between 1st May and 30th September, dogs must be kept on leads and are not permitted on the beach between the Wish Tower and Pier during these times.

If you are visiting the far East side of the seafront in July, Eastbourne Extreme will take over this section for a full weekend of extreme sports and water sports.

Eastbourne Parking Controls

East Sussex County Council have succeeded in imposing parking charges throughout Eastbourne Town Centre and along the seafront. These charges run from 8.00 a.m. until 6.00 p.m. seven days a week.

For hotel guests there is a special parking scheme available.

There is street parking available at the hotel, which is metered daily between 8am and 6pm, the hotel has daily permits which can be purchased at reception for £1 per day.

Parking controls have been suspended for Winter. From Jevington Gardens towards Beachy Head, restrictions have been lifted.

Parking on Jevington Gardens and Compton Street behind the hotel remains free at this point in time, but it will of course be difficult to find spaces.

Blue badge holders continue to be able to park for free in any pay and display areas for an unlimited time as long as their blue badge is on show correctly. Please note that the hotel does not accept any responsibility for any vehicles that may incur a fine.

For further information on parking and a map of parking restrictions please visit Eastbourne Borough Council's website.

REFURBISHMENT

We continually maintain our large building to a high standard. With 102 rooms there is always something to do! We will always make guests aware if there is anything we feel that they should know regarding our maintenance program and we always endeavour to make sure that it does not impinge on our guests' experience.

Our Lawns, Martello Room and small lounge have been refurbished as have our lower ground function rooms and we have no doubt that you will think they look stunning - perfect for your wedding, business meeting or any special event.

In 2017 we started a refurbishment program of our bedrooms, and we are about to embark on more refurbishment in 2019. The main thing being the renewal of our plumbing system and boilers to give us a much more efficient system with much better water pressure. We will also be doing a lot of bathroom refurbishment.

We have recently replaced our seating in the foyer and renovated our reception desk and I am sure you will think it looks as fantastic as we do! We are close to finishing a small lounge on the ground floor and have now refurbished our lounge, both with a Gentleman's club feel about it but be a place where you can sit and read or play a game of chess or simply just have a few drinks!

We always welcome your comments on our hotel and if there is anything that you feel is not up to scratch please do leave comments on our questionnaire or let our reception team know.
